Abstract
A device for steering a null in a sonar beam pattern resolves first and snd beam signals into four quadrature components. These components are multiplied in multiplying digital to analog converters by binary number factors, derived in accordance with the desired null angle, to provide analog signals that are combined in a summing amplifier to provide analog output corresponding to acoustic energy received by a beam having a null at the desired angle.
