The oldest continuously operating parapsychology research institution in the United States, tracing its origin to J.B. Rhine's foundational ESP experiments at Duke University in 1935. Rhine's statistical card-guessing experiments established the modern scientific methodology for psi research and coined the term 'extrasensory perception.' The Center continues experimental research on ESP, psychokinesis, and anomalous cognition, and publishes the Journal of Parapsychology.
