IACS supports scientific investigation into the nature of mind, anomalous experiences, and the relationship between consciousness and physical reality. The Institute facilitates research bridging mainstream neuroscience, parapsychology, and the broader post-materialist science community, and engages the public through lectures, workshops, and educational resources. Its work complements the AAPS, Center for Consciousness Studies, and Scientific and Medical Network in building an interdisciplinary research infrastructure for consciousness science.
