AAPS - Academy for the Advancement of Post-Materialist Sciences

About

An international scientific organization dedicated to promoting post-materialist science - the view that consciousness is not reducible to brain processes and that mind plays a fundamental role in nature. AAPS was established following a Manifesto for a Post-Materialist Science signed by approximately 300 scientists, physicians, and researchers. The Academy supports peer-reviewed research challenging strict physicalist assumptions, organizes symposia, and functions as an umbrella body connecting consciousness researchers across disciplines. Its network overlaps substantially with the Scientific and Medical Network, the Galileo Commission, and Essentia Foundation.
