Abstract

A thermography system comprising an infrared camera with line and raster scanners and at least one photosensitive detector, an electronic digital signal processor, and means for the visualization of the signal processed on the screen of a television monitor, a control unit can slow down raster scan in the camera by radio l/n, and can, simultaneously, cause special signal processing. "n" signals are added with respect to each element in a field by an adder and stored in a storage. The signals are provided at the line scanning rate, and cause the sum for each element in a line to be entered in an image storage, the image of the field of view with the sensitivity improved by line accumulation is reconstructed on the screen of the television monitor by repetitive reading of the image storage.
