Background

Physicist and self-described S-4 contractor who publicly disclosed in 1989 that he had worked at a classified facility near Papoose Lake, Nevada, reverse-engineering extraterrestrial propulsion systems. His claims - including the existence of nine alien craft, a gravity wave propulsion system, and a stable isotope of element 115 as fuel - preceded the official synthesis of moscovium (element 115) by 14 years. First came forward anonymously in May 1989 under the name 'Dennis' on KLAS-TV Las Vegas with reporter George Knapp, before being publicly identified in November 1989.

  • Attended Pierce College and California State University, Northridge (per public records)
  • Claims to hold degrees from MIT and Caltech - both institutions deny having records of his enrollment
  • Worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory circa 1982; listed in local press as 'physicist' and appears in 1982 phone directory as Kirk-Mayer contractor
  • Met John Lear through Gene Huff in mid-1988; Lear introduced him to ufology community
  • Submitted resume to EG&G in October 1988 following call from Edward Teller
