Summary
The third tranche of declassified UAP records published through the PURSUE initiative at war.gov/UFO, released June 12, 2026. Release 3 is the largest PURSUE release to date, comprising 63 documents from 6 agencies. New agency introductions include the FBI (25 records: sworn FD-302 interviews, FD-1057 case management forms, digital renderings, and videos of domestic UAP), the Intelligence Community (1 record: the first IC partner intelligence assessment released under PURSUE), and the U.S. Government congressional/White House correspondence series. CIA contributes 18 records including the Robertson Panel correspondence (CIA-UAP-002), a CIA official record copy of Blue Book Special Report No. 14 (CIA-UAP-015), and 16 Cold War intelligence documents on Soviet and international UAP research. DOW adds 12 records including the AARO-designated unresolved Western US case analysis (DOW-UAP-D077) and five first-hand narrative statements. NASA contributes 8 Gemini-era astronaut debriefing documents (D015-D022) covering the McDivitt cylindrical object sighting and Gemini 4, 5, 7, and 9 missions.
Significance
PURSUE Release 3 is the first release to include FBI sworn testimony (FD-302 interviews), the first to include an IC partner intelligence assessment with a formal analytical conclusion, and the first to provide Gemini program-era NASA crew debriefings at this level of detail. The FBI FD-302 serial numbers (D009: serial 67, D010: serial 71) indicate the northeastern US investigation file contains at least 71 entries -- the most extensive domestic UAP investigation file released under PURSUE. The Colorado Springs case (February 2022) is the first PURSUE case to involve both an FBI FD-302 sworn military witness interview and a separate IC partner analytical assessment. The CIA R03 corpus includes the Robertson Panel with companion 1952-1953 correspondence not previously publicly released, and a CIA "Official Record Copy" of Blue Book Special Report No. 14 with a handwritten note absent from all prior public versions.
