Summary
Full-motion FLIR sensor video released by the Department of War documenting a UAP captured by an F/A-18 Super Hornet in the U.S. Northern Command area of responsibility in 2022. The 0:29-duration video adds an F/A-18 FLIR record to the NORTHCOM corpus alongside the fifth-generation aircraft record of PR068. The F/A-18 FLIR is the same sensor system that produced the 2004 Nimitz 'Tic Tac' and 2015 'Go Fast'/'Gimbal' videos — giving this record a direct sensor-lineage connection to the foundational PURSUE Release 1 videos.
Significance
F/A-18 FLIR footage in the NORTHCOM AOR adds a Navy tactical-jet UAP record to a geographic area that has been primarily documented via fixed-wing reconnaissance and ground sensors. The F/A-18 FLIR system's direct lineage to the Nimitz-era UAP footage provides a sensor-continuity data point.
