Summary
The second volume of AARO's Historical Record Report, released July 2024. Expands the DoD's official historical review of UAP programs and allegations beyond the scope of Volume 1. Addresses additional alleged crash retrieval and reverse engineering programs, examines further historical claims raised by congressional witnesses, and continues the DoD's assessment of programs such as KONA BLUE and other alleged legacy UAP compartments. Together with Volume 1, constitutes the complete official government counterargument to insider disclosure claims including those of David Grusch.
Significance
Volume 2 completes AARO's official historical record for the unclassified sphere, providing a comprehensive DoD account that congressional oversight and the public can reference. It is significant as a primary source document: whatever researchers conclude about its accuracy, it is the official U.S. government's documented position on the history of its UAP programs. Its comparison with insider testimony and classified briefings provided to Congress remains an active area of investigative interest.
